Hi! I’m Meredith Mayo, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and the “Wellness Mama” from Get Mom Ready.

I know, first hand, what it feels like to be out of sorts with your body and not know where to start.

Once I understood that food is information, my health changed. My skin cleared up, my thyroid labs improved and I’ve been able to maintain a healthy metabolism because I know how to support my body (while still enjoying treats! Treats are basically my personality).

Food tells your body how to function and can either help it run well or not. This is exactly why I want you to have this information: I want you to give your body the information it needs to run well, while still enjoying a margarita or ice cream cone.

So, if you’ve ever grabbed a bar for breakfast and wondered why you’re starving two hours later, or felt that dreaded afternoon crash hit hard, this guide is for you.

The Simplified Guide to Nutrition is a quick, no-nonsense framework for fueling your body without the overwhelm. Inside, I break down the three building blocks every meal needs (protein, fat, fiber), share my go-to sources, and give you snack ideas that actually keep you full.

Think of it as the basics of balanced nutrition, simplified—and ready to put into practice today.

Let’s dive in and keep you fueled without the mental load.
